Don't come here very often any more. Will probably be even less now. When I made a comment in a for sale ad that wasn't inappropriate, yet was removed was pretty sad. Then in the N & P forum this same moderator goes and edits my post because of 'bad lingo' ? And another member drops the same word and it isn't censored? Makes me wonder. Is it just because I don't have the super high post count from years membership? What? And to be honest with you, I will be surprised if this thread lasts the night. Removed by the same moderator. Time will tell.

Sometimes your the spider, sometimes your the fly. Politically correct is everywhere!

Your first issue, you can't comment in for sale ads, it's that simple. If it's to assist in identifying a part, you're OK, otherwise, pipe down. :) Even a "good luck with your sale" gets nuked!

Second, the free-for-all N&P you better have thick skin, including any moderation. If something is out of whack and you feel the necessity to complain, hit the notify mod button.

Stuff gets edited all... just roll with it.

Take it easy Louie. I guess you never tried to deal with Moparts

I dropped the f bomb in N&P. Others use it in that forum with no censorship. I'm not complaining about what was said to me, nothing was. It was just in my comment. How many other times is the f bomb used in that particular forum? It would be similar to censoring something in the blue forum. And the f bomb wasnt used against anyone else. Why I say its an overzealous moderator. And my comment in a for sale ad was said to be ok from a different mod...... A mod is nothing more than a member with a title, some let it go to their head, imo.

Sometimes it gets frustrating and you have to take a break to cool down for a while. Part of the cycle of being on the site...

I had a couple of posts deleted - in retrospect, I was warranted.. but so did the other guy.. LOL

I really don't have an opinion here. But to the OP's point, if you search the "f" word on the N&P forum, there's 10 pages of threads using the word.

I have gotten in hot water with the mods here over the years. It was completely unjustified and was told a flat out lie to try to scare me. I sent a pm telling them it was a huge disappointment for this site to pull a move like that but I brushed it off and moved on. If it became a regular thing then I would bite the bullet and delete my account. This forum is too good of a tool to let one guy bully me into leaving.

I remember reporting F-bombs in the general discussion area on the grounds that this is a family site.

They did a poll to see how many care and the vote was that no one cared if f-bombs are left because that is our society now a days. I stopped caring and reporting and I have seen them around. So I don't know how it magically became an issue and is enforceable when we all had this discussion already and I thinking everyone was on the same page.

I can see curse words not being allowed in most of the forums, but I'm talking about the N & P forum. Minors should not be in there, same as the Blue forum. That is my complaint as there are other posts in other threads where that word is used. Just be consistent, either it is or it isn't allowed.

I like the f bomb , it helps me get my point across while providing a little humor. I understand when they get deleted but there is usually another one not far behind lol

Louie, Just trying to clear this misunderstanding up for you.....Your f-bomb was edited during the time the thread in question was in the General Discussions forum. The thread was later reported & moved to the N&P forum.

Please don't place blame where it truly doesn't belong. We as Mods do our best here to help FABO. Thanks for your understanding :D

I learn a LOT from the words people chose to use in their posts. I learn about their character and the amount of respect they have for those who read what they write. How else will I ever know who I should search out when I need something special.
"No matter what you do or say, you are teaching someone, something"

That was deep :coffee2: well said Dr dan :glasses7:

I got popped for an f-bomb in a thread that contained numerous f-bombs. I was all butt-hurt because I got 'singled out'.. C'est la vie.. I got over it. I knew it was risky when I posted it but figured it would be ok since there were others. Like Doogie said, this is too good a place to let something minor run you off..

heeeeeeey - somebody didn't like my f-ing f-bomb pic... ROFLMFAO!!! was it something I said?

I'm glad the "F" bombs aren't allowed in the normal post (but they can say it in other ways, read above post), and I'm glad I'm not a gold member because I would not benefit ANYTHING from it (what, a cuss'n fit from someone's rant, or a porno site??), and I wish they'd clean up the inappropriate pictures as well..... I respect cars AND women...

As do I and love looking at pictures of beautiful car's and I respect every good looks lady that has ever sat on a car that was posted, I can do with out the **** but I do respect the folks and this site for all they do, even bringing us great parts for our car's and info, I went gold many years ago :glasses7: The Gold membership is set here to give back and help keep this site going, I need this place and support it :coffee2:

Well, looks like the circumstances were MUCH different when the thread began.

humm.. tough for me to :poke: at you when you used my post as an example of a good way to use the ol' "F word" without saying it but - to me, if you're going to log in here, take info etc. from here and potentially use the information you have learned for your own benefit and be a contributing member - as in post up your opinion(s), why wouldn't you want to be a Gold Member? You know - give something back and support the site..

I have dealt with people for so long that I rarely get surprised. You would be amazed at what is offered for parts/tow/or to get their cars back. An F bomb, while I really don't appreciate, does not surprise or annoy me.

I save the foul stuff for trash or be trashed. a taste of reality.
