Is this a pick up only?

Does the trans have provisions to use a factory floor shifter? It would have to have the two hole boss on the bottom in the mid section.

Rob....I'm pretty sure 518's never had floor shifter bosses cast onto them. They only came in trucks and vans, which all had column shift. I've seen pics of where people made bolt on brackets to utilize their console shift linkage though. I think @moparmat2000 did it to the Cuda in his build thread.

@D.Rivera Which version of 518 is this? Early with the small white wire plug, or the later electronic version with the bigger plug? That info could help you sell it. Good luck with sale.

I am in San Diego and have been slowly trying to learn about these overdrive transmissions. If I could nail down what I need and this trans is it then I would definitely buy it.

What I have is a 76 D100 with a 318/727. What I would like to find is an overdrive trans that is a direct replacement for a 727. I hadn't figured out if I need a crossmember.

From what I have researched it looks like I want an H version not an E. Is there any ID that could tell if it's 46RH or 46RE?

look at the plug in on trans. 2 or 3 plug in is rh-8 way plug in is re. rh 2 pin is w/o lockup tc and 3 wire pin is w/lock up tc. you will need the the trans crossmember and mounts from a 89?-93 truck. i had to move the crossmember back approx 2 inches and the modify the rear of the drivers side crossmember top flat area to clear my 30 gallon fuel tank. but my truck is a short bed. long bed should not be a problem for 30 gallon tank. patc makes a kit to shift into od and lockup. i dont use toggle switches. to dumb looking for me.

@rbkt65 So this is a 3 pin meaning RH and Lockup? I have a question in to PATC about that kit.
You say I will need a dono truck crossmember? Is there any way I could use my 727 crossmember or different mounts all together?

i will go to shop this p.m. and get pics of mounts. also you can go to mopar parts giant and look up by application under engine mounting to see what x member you need. also there is a little better kit sold by patc that has an adjustable box that can fine tune the mph shifts.
