So,I bought this 6,000 RPM tach (just right for my /6), got a great price, THEN found I had no way to mount it.
The thing is right at 3 3/4". Too big for most "regular" gauge cups, but too small for the big tach cups I find.

Anyone have an idea where such a gauge cup might be found?

Thanks!

Well crap, does have a "name?" model? Might be proprietary.

I believe that should work. It's 3 5/8" from the back of the black bezel to the ends of the mounting studs. I'd call that the depth of the gauge. I could trim the posts 1/4, maybe 3/8" if needed. Brand name is "DET-MAR". How much would you need for it? Thanks!

Det-Mar seems to be "big" in marine stuff. Before you put much time/ effort into it, you might want to be sure it is or can be set up for your engine.

It has a selector switch for 4,6 & 8 cylinders + "12 pole" alt & "none" The terminals are clearly marked "SIG", "ALT" & "GND" and there's a 5/8" hole for a light bulb. It's a 6,000 rpm tach with a 270 degree sweep. Should be easy enough to set up, Unless I'm overlooking something glaringly obvious. I still need a gauge cup for it.
