I'm thinking of installing the Mopar P3690426 electronic ignition kit to replace my original dual point distributor in my 1970 340 Swinger.
I have the factory tach.
Any tach issues with using the electronic system?
Do I have to change my voltage regulator?
Did some searching but unable to find any firm answers.
Appreciate feedback from someone who has done this conversion.
Thanks for your feedback.

hi, go single point dizzy, msd ign. if msd packs up<it wont> you can always run a live to dizzy to get you home...........mopar performance packages? resistors, etc, never again. bought second hand msd, amazing stuff.

tach is good....it will run off negative side of coil

if you have the dual field alternator...you are good..

how is that for plain english....

I`ve used that system in a ton of different cars of various years with or without tachs and have had almost no issues. I did have a new orange box that was no good but I`ve used the system with the p3690732 voltage regulator and the standard VR and had no problems either way.
