I have some very fine (I thought it was dust) black paint overspray on a small section of the top of my Dodge
Dart GTS Sport Bumble Bee Tail Stripe. Any ideas on how to remove it without damaging the shine on the vinyl? Not sure if polishing compound will work.

I would first try to use clay. Autozone sells Clay magic. That's a good brand.

The clay worked great. Took a number of passes and folding the clay. It quickly took off some over spray that must have been on the dark green pain. Clay turned black. The surface is now smooth! Thanks!

Try go-joe hand cleaner first. Dab a spot rub it in and wipe off with wet cloth.

last resort- brake cleaner sprayed on a clean rag. Then lightly wipe in small circles with little pressure. Do not spray the stripe directly. It’s scary but should remove the over spray- don’t ask how I know.
