TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE-----I was shopping for a PCP air rifle (has a little air tank on it for consistent pressure shots) and found a site that had this same model for $99, everywhere else was >$359..I looked at this site long and hard. Had photos of the rifle as well as other random surplus type stuff for sale. I didnt find their 'stock' pictures anywhere else online, so they seemed legit on that first test. Then I drilled down and found a customer service number. I googled that number and found about 40 different websites that had that same customer service number and all were related to scam site phone numbers. I finally whois'd the website domain and found the site was only purchased 2 months ago. I didnt buy it and about a month later, the website domain was for sale again. My very first tip off of a scam site was the random name of it, it seemed to be just a collection of letters, definitely not in the English dictionary. If its too good to be true, it usually is. I found a brand new HP laptop for sale on an overstock site and it was $12! I actually bought 3 (with a note saying it was a laptop computer) pretty much knowing this was incorrect but maybe the place was so big they made a mistake pricing it (!) It processed and 3 days later I got a full refund with a note saying the UPC code was scanned wrong (the website tools they use used the UPC code to get a pic of the HP laptop) and the item was actually a case of oatmeal cookies! I got a laugh out of it and moved on, no harm done. But I did actually get a complete 9 piece timing set for a Mazda motor for $3 more than just 1 camshaft sprocket on Rockauto. I think they really did price it wrong but I got it anyway, I paid $13 for it and it was relisted for $79 once I received the large box.
