Penske / Chrysler

Please excuse me if I missed this from a possible earlier thread, but a good friend of mine (who is aware that I am a HUGE Mopar fan) told me that he heard Roger Penske was trying to buy Chrysler......

I havent heard that. Penske Owns United Auto group wich owns the Honda dealership I work at.

I think if this is true it would be great.It would bring Chrysler back to America where it should be and Penske has the money and knows about cars and how to run large companys.

From what I have been reading on the possible Chrysler sale is that they have been taking with a lot of different people or companies that have interest in Chrysler they just haven't told who all these people are, so Penske could be one of them. I really don't care what country the owner is from as long as they stay with the high performance heritage and don't part it out. Unless a North American Indian buys Chrysler the company really won't be American. Every one else one way or another come from another country, Penske included.

I hope an "American" company buys them, but if it is GM, I have a Buddy that is going to ride my *** right into the ground.......He is a huge Chevy fan.

I'm man enough to take it, but if Chrysler bought GM, I'd never see his smilin face ever again!
