All,

I'm thinking about getting a Mopar period correct batteries with the red, green or yellow caps.

Can someone tell which is correct for my 72 Duster 340. It was produced in Jun 72.

Yellow Cap Group 24 battery

..sorry bout bein' late. I fell asleep. :toothy10:

Not sure how correct you want to be, but I bought a GOOD battery, and put the "green cap" cover on mine. (yes, yours is the yellow cap type. They make them too)

I found someone that had an old battery, Bought the caps from them for $15 and glued them to a new flat top battery. Probably why I thought green was correct for 72

I have a rotisserie restored 73 340 Duster and just bought a SEALED (which is what you want) Yellow Cap Mopar AGM battery delievered to my house for $219.00 - PAYPAL ($209.00 if you send him a MO or Bank check)

Email Fred Gilmore at [email protected]

He's out of Kansas and he's a very, very nice guy - and the best prices around!

Turbo Start is Where I bought mine, they had the best price at the time.
Also, make sure it is the sealed "Maintenance Free Gel" model. Early models were acid filled, and were not maintenance free.

Other than that be ready for a heavy azz battery. These seam twice as heavy as a regular battery, but they look good. :p
