Pertronix Ignition Box

Hello all. Quick question for Ignition when installing a Pertronix Digital HP Ignition Box into my 71 Duster. With deletion of the ballast resistor and ECU, should both ignition 1&2 be joined and applied to the small red wire as indicated in the photo?
