Petronix distributor installation question

about to install Petronix distributor and Flamethrower coil on my 67 Satellite 318
My understanding is:
-disconnect ballast and jumper those wires
-disconnect orange box, but not sure if i just leave unconnected or have to jumper wires for that

Disconnect all of that stuff, you don't use any of the factory ignition stuff. The ballast gets jumpered, the ignition box just gets disconnected. I taped mine up, but that was it.

^^ What he said. I uninstalled the old box as well and just dressed the old harness to the firewall in case I ever wanted to go back.

If you jumper all the wires on the ballast together, then use the old coil + wire for the new feed to coil + and branch off to the Pertronix +, you are done
