Can you come up with a photo to help ID these? I have a bucket of hardware I can look through.

You may need to post a picture of a pierce nut that since there appeared to be several varieties of them

I might have the Philister screws, I just dismantled a car but all the fasteners are in a bucket and I'll be gone a couple of days before I can look for them.

I'm still pretty clueless what a pierce nut is, does it look like this?

Uploaded some photos for reference. The pierce nut is used on the firewall in the area of the steering shaft on the firewall. Not sure why I'm missing one in that area. This was originally a manual steering car. The one that is missing is located about the one o'clock position (under brake booster).

I bet the missing one on firewall, the bolt was seized in the nut. I think there is a bracket that goes on inside of firewall around the steering column.
Missing nut is welded on I believe.

Carbs and instrument panel as already mentioned . All I can think of.
Pontiac actually did it using the heads on the Ram Air V stuff. But that never made production.

Yeah. Scroll down past the Pontiac Hemi heads and you'll see their version of the Ram Air V which still has the pushrod going through the intake port. Look at the size of the port, though. LOL

Kauffman Racing Equipment

I recognize that Mike, where are they used?

I checked my stash, can't help on the Fillister screws. Mine are 10-32 not 8-32.
