Anyone in the vicinity happen to have a new/used early a body transmission mount laying around? I used to be able to get them from Napa but it looks like that’s angle is gone. I’m trying to track down a driveline vibration and the one I have is in 2 pieces. Thanks

Jake

The (at least) automatic is the same 63-72 per the parts catalogs. Available from amazon, and just about all auto parts stores. It might be special order

I can get one here in Colorado by tomorrow but in Phoenix looks like monday for you.

Looking at the car on the trailer, it looks lowered, did you adjust the pinion angle on the rear end?

Suspect your ball and trunnion joint maybe worn out
Serious question, do they wear out, and how?

I have/had several, and although everywhere everyone states to replace it with a traditional slip/u-joint I've never had a b&t wear out, u-joints yes.

I just picked it up and for some reason they decided it needed to be 4 inches from the ground. I suspect it to be a damaged driveshaft but I need to rule out that mount.

I just changed my VPN to be in Pheonix AZ and searched for the part number 2272 and tis is what came up.

depending where you are in Phoenix it might be closer or farther away than 13 miles but they say they have it in stock

relatively easy to check on the angles too.

you could get the back end up in the air (supported by the body) and run it in gear 40mph should try to get both wheels spinning the same direction if it's not posi (I said posi for the "Does this Irk you" group). raise and lower the diff to see if the vibration goes away at some droop amount. If its automatic be sure to apply the brake till the rear tires stop before shifting into Neutral or Park

did you click on the check local stores? also your may have a setting that prevents the Mesa store from being checked as too far away?

I'm guessing the singe vs dual studs are not an issue
