new ones are the way to go if you want inexpensive .....most people want more for originals because the new ones don't come in push in bayonet style ...all the new ones are the bolt on type. Some of the new ones do not have the "HURST" logo either.

Plan on three bills for a decent original or get a new one on ebay from 140. to 200. a lot of buy it nows too.
 
I bought mine off of Amazon for 180.00. Now it is 174 and change. That is for the bolt in style. When I opened mine it came in a silky bag and HURST is stamped into the shifter on the sides. Also gives you the HURST badge they want to charge 15.00 for included. More than happy with mine.
 
Thanks guys I will let him know, he was just kind of hoping he could get one cheaper
