Not long ago I posted a thread with a head that was angle cut so much that it caused a stir. After looking further I found two pistons with scarring from hitting the valve. I removed the pistons and found tiny cracks in them.
I've since ordered RHS heads, with valves, pushrods, rockers and now will be replacing all of the Pistons (heads). The cylinders are .030 over and at TDC the pistons are at deck level. This is a 1973 340 block with cast crank. The rods and bearings are new. I'd boost compression to around 9.5:1. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.
