I got this email from my local Dragstrip, please vote for Great Lakes Dragway if you follow the link, or maybe your dragstrip is on the list, by all means vote for yours then. thanks
Two weeks from Opening Day...
For the 57th year!
Bangshift.com has launched a poll to decide the most historically significant dragstrips in the world. With hundreds of dragstrips in existence, bangshift.com narrowed the poll down to eight possible choices... and Great Lakes Dragaway has the honor of being on the ballot!
Great Lakes Dragaway opened in 1955; 56 years later, our doors are still open six days a week. Hundreds of dragstrips have come and gone. A very small handful of dragstrips opened before us, but they have closed down and then reopened years later. GLD is the oldest continuously operating dragstrip in the world.
Cast your vote for Great Lakes Dragaway, and be part of the group who can proudly declare "we have stood the test of time."

Opening day is Friday, April 1st... and it only costs $12 to race! No April Fools joke... from April 1st to April 10th, fun racing is open to everybody for only the price of spectator admission!
