so i was wondering if any one know of a cam sensor that will still drive the oil pump but act as a plug for the distributer.. im going efi with a crank trigger and coil packs and deleting the distributer all together...

i heard something about a jeep sensor but wasnt sure..

You probably already know this, but the oil pump drive is not driven by the distributor but by the cam.
So it would have to be something to plug the hole with that would also keep the oil pump drive gear in place.

You'll still need something to hold the oil pump drive down. Maybe butcher a distributor ?

yeah thats what im thinking im gonna have to do.. good thing i have a few old ones laying around.. i was just wondering if there was something on later models that would work.

I'm not sure you NEED to hold the drive gear down. The helix of the gears is what holds it down. The distributor certainly has no thrust bearings.
