I presently have a mechanical dizzy with an MSD 6AL ignition box. I found a great deal on a pertronix plug and play dizzy with vacuum advance, which is what I'm wanting to upgrade to. The info I've found states that this distributor can be adapted to the ignition box, but doesn't state how. I want t keep the box for the rev limiter. Any insight would be much appreciated!

"Dizzy." yeh. What is a "mechanical" distributor? You mean breaker point distributor? If it is already breakerless, with a 6AL, you might not gain anything, unless it's worn out.
Post your MSD part no, like 6420 or whatever. Go to MSD and download the proper destructions for your MSD. The diagram to interface to a Pertronix is right in there
