Plymouth duster no brake lights

Check power. Access the brake switch and see if power is to the switch. Should be "live" at all times. The switch output goes from there up to the turn signal switch connector at the column. Brake light power goes to the TS switch, and the TS switch then routes it either to both or just one rear lamp, depending on which direction you are signaling. The wire at the TS switch connector is usually white.

Is this new enough that it has the hazard switch built into the column TS switch? Wiggle the >>>>>> out of that and see if it makes a difference

(EDIT I see you said "Duster" so it's at least a 70)

WHAT ARE WE working on? YES it is IMPORTANT!!!

Do your flashers work?
Do your turn signals work (front and rear)

A guideline that applies in many instances is as follows:
A large percentage of electrical issues can be blamed on poor grounds. I have found that poor connections really are the cause of most failures.
Good luck.

This pertains to EFI swaps too, for sure.

I've heard that too. Chasing a poor ground in aftermarket EFI seems to be the standard advice from their tech support.

I recall that when the brake lights went out, so did the dash lights.. usually this was a grounding issue..

Check to see if you have dash lights with the parking or headlights turned on.
