Choices are Modified in a performance way and Basically stock, cause most cars aren't 100 % stock anymore so if you got a holley instead of factory carb but everything is stock then I would say basically stock, even say you got 340 and use a similar cam even if slightly better I'd say stock.

Generally if you replace parts for performance gain then modified if you use some performance parts as replacement for general repair i'd say basically stock.

You can choose more than one if you have multiple cars.

Nice collection

The 318 in my '71 Dart GT was a stock rebuild (with the exception of .030 overbore, Edelbrock LD4B intake & 1406 600 cfm carburetor, MP electronic ignition, MP viscous fan, Lokar throttle & "kickdown" cables).

66 Formula S - modified 273

68 Formula S - modified 383

67 fastback Barracuda - not sure on this one either a modified Desoto 330 Hemi or modified 340.

Shocked at the lack of /6 so far, I figure at least half would be. Or will be.

Had a couple of slants.....and were what some would call 'super tuned' or tuned way different than what the factory would consider a mild tune. One responded really well while the other did pretty good but was in a heavier car. Both had straight pipes, flex fans etc.....

My '75 318 smog motor just got rebuilt and dyno'ed in Sept. I am a true rookie at most engine stuff, so I showed my dyno sheet to a few people and they said he did realy good. It came in 404HP at 5,500rpm. Torgue was 419ft. lbs at 4,100rpm. It was 418 at 3,600rpm. 340 heads, .030 overbore, Edelbrock LD4B intake & 1406 600 cfm carburetor, roller rockers & cam (Comp cam # 20-812-9)

Nice build, like they say build it like it's a 340, the 318 won't know the difference :)

Stock is fine if that's what you're in to...
I have a 340, a 383, a 440, & a 505, none are stock.... But none are radical either... I tried that forty years ago, I prefer stuff I can drive...
Well, I don't consider a stock 340 a "stock" engine. It's a factory performance engine. Just like a Super Commando 440, or 440 six pack, or Hemi. Or any of the rest of the performance engine packages. To me, stock means like a stock 318. Or a stock 383 2 barrel.

In this poll a stock 340 would be under stock small block

Mine has a slightly modified 440. Most of the parts in it, other than the pistons, are stock, just not necessarily from the same year, and the heads/intake have been ported.

I had a real sweet modified 170 in the 64 Barracuda 4 speed, but they are both gone. The guy who bought the 170 got a real deal with all the special time, parts, and tuning. So I did not include it.
