Poly in an early A

Has anybody done this with stock suspension and steering.
What do you mean cause of weight?

The short block is basically same as LA, it's the heads and exhaust fitment that's the issue.

Not mine, although I wish it was.... @A56 originally posted these.

Why not? Because it's different, I guess. I've seen early hemis (the smaller DeSotos and Dodge Red Rams mostly) dropped in there, too. Tough to get parts for and no real advantage other than to say "I did it". Sometimes that's all it takes.

Not mine.......but still they can make some serious power.

Here an article I found on porting poly heads
Guy goes from 187 to 256 cfm

Poly 318 Cylinder Head Porting - Poly318.com
I actually learned a lot on this site (Poly318.com) for sure just here lately. My latest find......the poly single four-barrel intake has been in the back of my mind for over 32 years, my first one was of course a 2-barrel poly 318 that I had put in a 1966 step side Dodge truck back before I was 16.

I don't know him personally but I'll try to find the guys build story if that'll help.
That would be awesome! I've been trying in vain to find that smaller max wedge scoop and that's the second one I've seen recently, but no one seems to know where they come from.

Apparently the car was in an auction back in July of this year, but I don't know if it was sold. The owner/builders name and location is in the video

Also, with those two four intakes with the bypass nipple coming straight out like that.......I wonder if folks have tried putting the magnum front serpentine set up on one.

My 65 block is the first Poly A-engine I've seen without the extra hole in the front of the block....Not sure when they had stopped that.

Thank you!

I must be a total bonehead because I'm not seeing his name or location.

Nah, it's not you. You have to go to YouTube. They've turned off the comments but his last name is Drumpel and he's from Texas. Sorry.

Hey no problem. I was able to ask him a question on one of his other videos. Hopefully he sees it. Thanks again. Those dang mini max wedge scoops are elusive! Haha.
