hi all, I found the wheel I will be purchasing that is available as a 17x7 4.25" backspace and 17x8 4.5" backspace. They say silt will bolt on and go by I would like some first hand feedback. What do you guys run for wheels/dimensions and alao any recommended tire sizes?

This is a stock suspension 71 Duster with the 5x4" bolt pattern.

I've got just about the same question as you have here, except that in my situation, I have, or will have a 69 Valiant 2-door sedan, with 1/2" relocated rear springs, 73 spindle ( I think) with disc brakes. I've also got disc brakes on the rear. Right now I have some narrow Weld prospers on the front, narrow tires too. And 245 x 55 x 15 on the rear.

Now here is what I have in mind: 17x7 5x4 1/2 for the front: Tires 215/50/17 25.5 height
17x8 5x4 1/2 with 4 1/2" back spacing: Tires 245/50/17 27.1 height
or 18x8 5x4 1/2 with 4 1/2" back spacing: Tires 245/45/18 26.8 height

I"d kind of like to do the 18's on the rear, with the 17's on the front but I'm just after some thoughts on this, without getting tires and wheels and finding that they don't fit.

Wheels that I am considering are the American 17" VN527 Mag Gray Machined with grey center. Kind of the Vintage 60's look, but in aluminum not steel.

Or, the American /torque Thrust M Chrome in 17x7 front and 17x7, or if I really mix it up, 18x8 rear.

Any ideas as I am open to suggestions? I know what to do with a 30's hotrod, but it's been a long time since I messed with Mopars. Thanks.

I setup my 75 Dart Sport Coupe Resto Mod with 17 x 8 Wheels all around.

Front Tires are 235 / 45 / 17's and Rear Tires are 255 / 40 / 17's.

Great Fit all around and I like the Stance.

Hope this Helps.

I finally preferred 215x50x17" on 17x7" Salt flat wheel front and 245x 50x17" for the rear. I think it'll give me a similar stance. My 69 Valiant doesn't have quite the room I the rear as your Duster has. I think that I'll be happy with these. Love the wheels
