Have any of you used this product, Solder-it Aluminum/Pot Metal repair.
Doing a Google search, I saw this and thought about placing an order from Caswell Inc.
Thanks

There's a low temp solder for repairing pot metal. I don't remember the name, but it might be the same stuff. Really easy and works good.

I just looked it up. The stuff I used was called Super Alloy 1.

How well did it work ?
So far so good. I used it on an outdoor decorative bread rack type thing. A customer was throwing it out. It had fallen off their deck and broken into 4 pieces. It looks pretty cool and I bet it was pretty expensive. I soldered it up and painted it with that hammertone rattle can paint. Now it serves no real purpose on my deck instead of thier's.

Thanks, it is amazing what people throw away. I was making a delivery to a direct buy wholesale club store in new jersey a few years ago. They were throwing a $20,000 grandfather clock in the dumpster because the glass shelves were broken. I brought it home and spent $50 on the shelves. It has been in my house for about 10 years now.
One mans trash and another ones treasure
