New to the forum. Just started a 68 Dart GT converting from S6 to 440. Looking to install MP power brake kit. Will it fit? Worried about room for booster.

Your not going to have to much room. Now this is up to you, but I use a manual master cylinder with 4 wheel disc brakes. The 440 Scamp I have stops great down the track and on the street.

Power brakes are absolutely not necessary in an a-body, big block or not. My wife used to drive our GTS convertible daily with manual drum brakes.

if the mp kit mounts like a stock kit then it actually frees up room because the booster and master cyl. are raised away from the motor. not sure if they will fit with fenderwell headers but definatley fit with pro parts. we stuck a 440 in a 73 power brake duster and were surprised as to how much room was opened up.

dunno, I bought M/P with booster for a 340 Duster, mocked it up, and ordered a manual M/C, it just looked like it was in the way, espicially with these pos headers, and #5 and 7 plugs that I can't get to without a bunch of blood involved.

maybe the mp kit doesn't put in the stock location

I would avoid MP brakes at any cost,I have them on my 41 Willys, I had numerous fitment and quality issues,I certainly wouldn't consider their products as an upgrade. Very poor (almost nonexistant) tech support, Just my opinion. I agree with the previous post that power brakes are realy not needed on an A body, I actually prefer manual brakes on lighter cars.
