Power braking unit

Hopefully, I will be installing this unit this week. I was reading the manual over last nigh and I notice that it requires an extra plate against the firewall.

Do I need this or can I just make it out of a piece of flat steel ?

I have never seen an A-body that uses a flat adapter plate for the booster. They all have stand-off brackets with a lever. My C-body has a flat plate, as do most other bodies - B, E? Read your manual closer. My 65 manual combines both the Dart and Coronet (B-body?).

Good call. My manual does cover all bodies so you are probably correct. I do have the extra brackets so the plate really puzzled me. One less think to worry about this week.
