Anyone ever considered replacing the factory fuse box with an analog PDM? I’d really like to rewire mine from the firewall forward but I’m not too crazy about the cheapy looking fuse boxes that come with the aftermarket wiring kits. I see these available used on EBay fairly cheap and look like they’d cleanup wiring at the box especially with the molex type connectors.

This would be overkill but these PDMs pulled from Charger Patrol cars are severe duty and have 20+ circuits and are cheap.

I made one up from a couple of Jeep boxes, don't remember the application, but they were modular. That is, with some work, you can interchange relays and sections with fuses to get closer to what you want. There were a number of things I had to diddle with, because of the rather proprietary construction.

I've used boxes from Neon's before and they're nice and simple, but they're too hard to find now!

I like these Eaton/Bussman aftermarket boxes. You can find connectors and pins for them and they come in all kinds of fuse/relay combinations. They’re installed on buses, trucks, tractors, etc.

I used a dodge truck (2001) PDC when I did my first magnum efi swap and it made the wiring super simple.

Waytek Wire has a lot of Eaton fuse blocks new at good prices. I've used their RTRM line in harnesses I've designed; it is a bit lower priced but doesn't have the cool external connectors and is a bit smaller.

I plan to use one of these for my G3 swap. The Mopar crate engine kits uses them as well. I like that they are bussed and have plugs to wire them in, most of the OEM setups are direct wired. My only complaint is I think they are limited to 30 amps per circuit, so I will probably have to run a separate setup for my fans.

Me too. I have the dual Contour fans running off a standalone hi-amp relay and PWM’d by the Megasquirt. I’d love to consolidate everything in a single box though.
