I recently switched out the Power Steering Box in my 72 Scamp only to find out the new Box, now installed (the car has headers so you can imagine the fun) fits a 73 A-Body and has the larger spline shaft, thus the pittman arm does not fit.
Clearance wise it looks like the changed-over 73 parts (Idler Arm, Pittman Arm and Centerlink) and give me perhaps better clearance. Does anyone know if this would work or are there other differences with Tie Rod ends and such?
I appreciate any suggestions as I already have spent a great deal of time mounting this and the Summer is just flying by.
