power steering bushing`

iam havein trouble with correct headers hittin the steering bushing the thing that has a drift pin in it that connects column to gear box cant dent headers as they are ceramic can i replace part with smaller diamator one? thanks alan

Don't know about a smaller coupler. The problem you are describing are why some guys swap power steering for manual. The manual box is smaller and requires a longer column. The coupler is farther down and out of the way of most headers.
