Has anybody ever extended the collapsable power steering column to be used with a manual steering box? What needs to be done to do this?

You need to use an adapter to make up the difference. Get on like this: http://www.firmfeel.com/column_adapt.htm
Thats a 2 piece colapsable column where one piece inside the other has nylon sheer pins through both. You could drill out those sheer pins but.. the difference is 3 inches. I dont have a clue how much overlap would remain. The 2 pieces need to be fairly well engaged.
