Well power is out again, second time this month and it's only October.Happens a lot in winter around here. Don't think It will be as bad as you folks in the north east have it right now.

Well, we here on the Island seemed to getaway with a lot. I think it the ocean.
Now, just a scant 20 miles across the water in the state of Ct. , .... Ummm speaking of Ct.members, how did ya do? Last I seen was 6 inch's and climbing.

We have the same problem here with frequent outages, so last summer I bit the bullet and bought a propane powered 20kw generator with automatic start. Had the first test last week and it worked like a charm...it started automatically about a minute after the lights went out.
The power was off for about four hours, but I couldn't even tell, as the generator powered everything I needed, and when the power came back on the generator went back to sleep.
