Installing the new carpet in my 73 Sport. The carpet is molded, from ACC, but the molding is not perfect, as I expected. Question is, can I use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat up a couple of the corners in the rear floor pan where it bunches up and reform it to fit? If so, any special technique to follow?

Yes you can, but caution, the carpet will melt easy. ANY YES THE FORMED CARPET IS NOT REALLY FORMED WELL TO BEGIN WITH, i JUST PUT IN A ACC INTO A 72 Duster, A REAL PAIN, DID NOT FIT AT ALL.

I would heat the bottom of the carpet as well as you can (a pain if you have jute backing) to get it somewhat pliable, because as Steven said, the pile can melt easily if you get carried away.

Steamer would be better, but are expensive to use just once
