took my Lower arms in to have the bushing pressed in.The problim is the pin that is pressed into the bushing first is tool loose this is what the shop is saying. This should be a tight fit right. He says the old sleeve was on tight got it off ,no singhs of wear on the shaft. Is the bushing wrong. This is a 69 Dodge Dart.

You may have the wrong bushing - assuming you're using rubber bushings. There's nothing about it that should just "slip together" - it's a press fit.

Well 70Duster440 the guys at National Mopar say it is not the wrong bushing.says maybe the pivot shaft is too small .So they are going to pull a pin they have in there yard and check it with the bushing they have.Me I cant see my pivot shaft being to small. The shaft did fall out of the LCA when i removed it from the car.Thease bushings are rubber.

If the shaft fell out when you removed the LCA, then there's definitely something wrong. Was the old bushing completely trashed? Perhaps a previous owner did a "switcheroo" of some kind along the way.

All a-bodies had the same pivot pin, so either:
1. Your pin is worn (never seen that, but I suppose it COULD happen).
2. The guy installing the bushings has no clue what he is doing.
3. You got the wrong bushings.

My bet is on option number 2.

this guy that is installing the bushing has a performace shop, and drag races he knows what he is doing. This problim is on the right side.So I say Bob take apart the left side witch is all tight and tell me what you find, well he called the same thing,so it has to be wrong bushing.Well lets see what national Mopar find.

Just got a call from parts supplyer yep wrong bushing,so i thought I was getting Moog bushings ya wright over seas I would say.So I found were I will get moog ones in the morning.Dam:angry7: This blowes the whole weakend.

hey snake, all late model 73 up has a larger pin base. it will start into the hole like normal, but won't seat out so you cant get the nut and washer started, end of story. so bear in mind when buying bushings, late model wont fit into early model k members.
