Hi 5.2 – As the other A Body family members here have also stated, I am very sorry for your loss. As a fellow vet, I also feel your pain in regards to your spine and the nerve/disk damage, sleep issues and so forth. I am very happy to see that we are also both dealing with this bowl of lemons the same way – a Mopar in the garage! You’re off to a great start and I look forward to following this build. Well done sir!

Welcome to FABO and sorry to hear of your loss.
Love your Dart and the build, especially the hood you've done. Your right though working on it takes your mind off of other things so therapeutic as you say.
Good luck with the Dart, great build.

Looks like it's gonna be a great build. - Lots of nice mods. - Hope you can sort things out with the family situation. As far as being therapeutic.. - sometimes I think I need therapy after working on mine. Good luck!

thanks for the kind words everyone. Im making slow progress almost done the the coil over conversion.

Not much new to report been still working on the engine bay getting it ready for paint and other misc work. while also working on getting my jeep back together lol. spending time with the girlfriend and trying to decide if Im gonna keep the 47 Desoto in the garage or sell it.

thanks aot guys. I cannot wait to get it back on the road. was hoping to be driving it by now but my back injury is the pace setter now. it sucks at times for things that used to take me hrs to do can take days or weeks to do now. especially if I try ignoring my body and forcing mysef to keep going. ( took me awhie to get that into my head lol). I will get it I know and I wont give up turning a wrench even if I can only do it for a cpl hrs a day. its my passion and what relaxes me.

Very sorry for your loss. This car is going to be the "Healer" and wow are you doing a great job!!! Hang in there and keep up the great work!

Alex

well Ive removed all the trim and welded up all the trim holes. and getting the trunk prepped to spray bed liner in. also started on the doors, removed the rotory latches and installed latches from a 99 Durango with integrated pwr door locks and converted window regulators to pwr.

Great job on the build. Lost my son 3 years ago, that was one of the reasons that I bought my 65 Dart, needed a good distraction. Keep up the good work.

That Dart sits sinister... Sorry on life's difficulties, you found an satisfying therapy.

Quick update moved the dart in the garage so can work on it regardless of weather, its up on jackstands and been stripping all the undercoating. Talk about a ***** lol been working on that for 4 days and only half done. No pics to post but making slow progress
