What is the correct offset that the engine sits to the right side. I thought it was 1 1/4 -3/4". I'm sitting around 1 3/4 maybe even closer to 2". The mounts were built from previous owner. Everything lined up on instal just fine, (trans, headers, center link and steering)kinda wondering what everyone else is sitting at.

The drive line is at an angle of about 9 degrees so it you measure the crest of the trans tunnel from one kick panel to the other you would find about 1.5 inches. Out at the balancer you would find closer to 2 inches.

everything I`ve ever read on this subject says, 1 1/4" or 1/38" at the crank snout, even heard tom hoover say it at a drag racing seminar, back in the day! 2' at the front is an awful lot of crooked!--------------bob

Even those instrustions aren't clear on where the measurement is taken.
"Center of the crank" would measure different at front and back ends.
They likely assume its measured where its easiest, in front of the balancer.
Good luck with it.
