It began a year ago when I picked up a 74 Dart Sport virtually rust free. It still had original paint, but I knew it would need a restoration and paint. Do I pull the engine was the first decision. Well, here we go. I didn't know where to stop. Going to a body and paint shop on Monday. My very first restoration and a lot of decisions to make yet.

I'm going with the original Rally Red. Pulled the vinyl top and going to go without. My first new car at 18 was a 1975 Dart Sport, so I guess I'll go all the way back there.

Ya flyintiger thats how mine started, simple cosmetic restoration, I'll be getting the painted shell back this week, start reassembly.
Good luck and have fun with it!

It's been fun so far, but lying on a creeper and cleaning up the whole underside is a dirty job. Can hardly wait to start the re-assembly.

Nice~! So fill us in! Where did the car come from? Cant be Canadian, unless it's a superclean prairie car. They just dont keep that well here in B.C!

Make a list of all the things you need to purchase, decide which are first priorities and so forth. Then get all your parts organized and try to make a list of all things that need to done in the proper order. Have fun and good luck. Try not to get frustrated. lol

Picked the car up in central Texas. It was originally purchased there and I after many miles of travel in Canada and northern US, I realized there seemed to be no "rust free" cars around here. Purchased the car ' sight unseen' and was pleasantly surprized.

Almost completed restoration after a long winter. Waiting for bumpers to get done from the chrome shop in the next week and attaching a few emblems. I am missing the 360 emblem for one side of the fender. Anyone have one they may not have any use for? Let me know. Project has been very rewarding and fun. Would do it all over again.
