Ok. So mechanically the old 66 valiant is good, now it on to start getting the body straight. My plan is to pull the trim possibly work on the rust spot myself and then take it to someone to put the paint on it. I am not sure if I want to tackle pulling the windows and replacing the window trim myself. I do want to pull the trim but I am not certain how to pull the aluminum trim. Does anyone know how it is attached? Can I just use trim pullers and do it myself? Are there clips or screws holding it on? Thanks for any answers guys.

if like my darts, yes side trim has sped nuts on the inside of panels.
pulling the glass can be quite a hassel ( at least for me), especially the qtr glass. seems people say on here finding correct window fuzzies can be a problem. for a driver, investing in GOOD masking tape and learning to be careful with it, works for me..... but then i'm not a perfectionist and I want a driver quality car I will drive and not has $5-6000 invested in paint work!!!! LOL
me: I rather do the work myself and it be a 10 footer ( o k maybe a 20 footer) aand they sniker...... than to have a perfect car I paid someone $5000 to paint it and they sniker....LOOL... just me...

Typically the exterior trim will have one or two threaded fasteners and then some additional clips. The service manual has the specific types and locations in the body section.

thanks guys, I got the service manual, but I didn't see anything on trim. I will recheck that. Yes, I feel the driver quality part, it's what I am looking for, I have just never done any body work. The rust is light and surface rust, that doesn't intimidate me, the paint part does though, I don't really have the tools, nor spot to do it myself. Maybe it's time to head to harbor freight again and see what they got and at what price. lol.

The old cars used fewer clips than the new ones. More speed nuts, and thats a good thing. Some of those flat anodized window trip pieces are so flimsy, removing them will no doubt put a few wrinkles in them. A good masking will do for a 20 footer.

the trim is not to bad to remove. the trim on the top of the quarters is a pain release the clips from inside the trunk or you will bend it, dont remove the rear glass unless you need to there the glass and gasket is not avalable. pm me for questions if needed i removed all mine
