So I've had a "problem" for a few years with my 70 Dart and I'm fixing a bunch of electrical problems so why not this one too?
When I put the key in the switch, without turning it at all, it acts like I'm turning it to the accessory position. I stick the key in and the radio comes on and various things that work in accessory can be turned on. Pull the key out and it all goes off. Since the key mechanism is purely mechanical, I figure it must be in the 46 year old, 200,000 mile electrical switch that the key activates, but how would that work if I don't even turn the key?
Thought I'd ask here and maybe find someone else who has solved this mystery.
