hasn't been run in over a year. charged the battery, put gas in it and she started right up. it still likes to be worked (not that it was working hard) not bad for 76 years old. took care of the neighbors driveways.

Cool old workhorse! I have a 49 model Ford 8N. Always does what I ask of it.

I don't think Pop's pulled His '52 out of the garage yet, but We've just got the 1st "real" accumulation of the season, I'll check on Him & see. Had a ton of stuff for it, sold all but the Woods Belly deck, rear & front blades, & tines.

Wow...
WHY do people choose to live where it snows?
Well, I've been counting on Global warming to change all that since about '86, when it was supposed to have Manhattan under water by '96. Just like EV batts., it's comin' along, I'm sure it's right around the corner.....

We had one of those when I was growing up. We used it to haul the trash off to the land fill which was only a couple of miles outside of town. Ours was old as it didn't have an electric starter. I was just big enough to crank it over. My dad was the shop foreman at the local IH dealer and he picked it up from a farmer that had parked it as it had a cracked block.

I've not had one that big but I've had alot of 60s/70s cub cadet garden tractors.
I've got a 129 now, engines blown apart in pieces, for a rebuild/ can't believe how much machine work $$$ has gone up in a couple of short years since I rebuilt my last Kohler k-301.
I have $300 in a bore job, valve job, crankpin cut 10-under, had the cylinder deck machined (less than 10 thou, but it was definitely warped) and the head cut about the same amount for some reason.
Have most of the parts on hand already for it.... Just gotta get it together.

I wish I had 5+ acres to play around on.
