Ok, so im about to put the motor together and I have a few questions I need answered.

Is it ok to use moly grease on the crank bearings and the rod bearings?
If so what type of moly grease is good?

Do i pack the oil pump with grease?

What can I use to prime the motor?

In what order do I install the Piston rings?

Do i dip the pistons into oil or put a little bit of oil on the rings becasue the how to build a mopar says dip the piston in oil so ask you guys...

and do I put the lifters in oil or moly grease on them?

use moly assembly lube and do not pack the oil pump full of grease. you want the oil to circulate afap and the grease will not flow thru passages quickly. Install the rings bottom to top and dip pistons in a coffe can of 30 wt. before stabbing. and assembly lube or oil on lifters

I still recommend having a machine shop at least assemble the short block. If they let you watch and somewhat explain what they are doing along the way, that's money well spent.

Just started mine today, comp cams requires a break-in additive. I ran mine the way they told me to, which was 30 min. @ 2000 rpms. Then dump and change oil and filter. Good luck

sounds good....and If i already have Long tube headers in the car should I leave them in there so when I put the new motor in all i have to do is bolt them up?

yeah on the headers but with new ceramics you want to break in with old pipes or ceramic will discolor

I thought About this, but I just dont have 200-300 to spend on Just that, So I figured If i had someone who was taking a class right now on how to build motors and someone who has built motors before, I should be Good to go.

Once it is all togeather and your think it is ready go over everything again just to make sure.
There is a little allen plug in the distributer hole that beleive it or not alot of people forget to reinstall. MAKE SURE IT IS IN THERE! bad things will happen if it isn't.
