Question for DartDemonDuster "survivor" car fuel tube

If you have a "survivor" Dart Demon or Duster could you tell me if the fuel inlet tube shows under the gas cap? Meaning, the tube was slid thru the opening in the quarter panel and not attached from the back side. Thanks a ton.

The tube slides through the quarter panel, through the gasket in the trunk floor into the tank. There is a gasket behind the ring with 3 screws to hold it in.

My 70 Swinger and 71 Demon both have the filler tube on the inside.

It attaches on the inside of the quarter panel.
A foam gasket goes between the filler tube and the quarter panel.

On my car if the flange was on the inside I'd never get my cap on. The cap sits perfectly flush with the quarter so I thinking it's on right, my tube slips though the quarter.

OK, took the filler tube out last night, re-inserted it thru the 1/4 an my original '71 gas cap sticks out off the 1/4 by a half an inch ! So I remounted everything from the back side which makes sense since the new white gasket would stick out if the tube went thru the 1/4.

Did some research:

65-71 filler tube attaches to the "inside" of the quarter panel.
72-76 filler tube goes through the hole in the quarter panel from the "outside".
