Researching wheel color info, steel wheel colors changed from body color to semi-gloss black after mid-March 1971, UNLESS you ordered a car with full wheel covers, then the wheels would have been black..... Do any old timer remember if this is correct? Personally, I've never seen a car around 1971 with body colored wheels and full wheel covers....

So your car came new with full wheel covers, as opposed to the small poverty caps, OR it was built after mid-March '71..... (just guessing here..)
Dog dish hub caps, black rims. I ordered the car, so built before mid March. Don't remember the order date, but seems like it was a month or so for delivery. Not like today where one is just sitting somewhere. I worked in the parts dept at Davenport Dodge. Davenport, Iowa.
