I was asked this weekend if the sockets on lower control arms where the torsion bar fits into wears out? If so is there replacement parts to fix them? The car in question is a 65 Dart. Thanks

I've done a bunch of pairs of lower control arms over the years Jeff and have never seen one 'wallowed out' there where you're talking about. The strut rod bushing areas can though. Hope this helps a little.

I've seen a few break slam off, but none wallered out.

X2. If you pack the socket with grease, there should be any wear to speak of. I haven't seen a spun socket either but we don't have much of a rust problem around here.
