Question on Tiawan sheet metal for the FB fish

I found a guy who has some rear quarters and trunk extensions he bought (supposedly) 10 years ago. I need rear patch panels and trunk extensions so this is good. The question is did they ever make and sell trunk extensions for the fish or only Darts? Is the older Tiawan sheet metal any better than the stuff they are selling these days? Ie, would older rear quarters be thicker than the ones available today?

I bought quarter skins from Year One almost 7 years ago. They were most likely made in Mexico. They fit perfect too. My train of thought is older will be better than some out there today.
