quickie rear brake help

im trying to replace my pads. i cant seem to figure out a good way to get the clip off the lever that the parking brake cable attaches to. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

put two screwdrivers into clip and spred apart

I just got done doing mu drum to disk swap, minus the bleeding of the system and swaping tires onto BBP rims. I know how ya feel about the rain coming. I can smell it in the air.
