Radiator Outlet Position

how important is the radiator outlet position in the lower tank. i have a aluminum down flow rad, top left and bottom wright at the moment. am wanting to move the lower outlet more to the center of the bottom tank. this will make plumbing the outlet to the water pump easier.
will this affect the cooling efficiency.
