rally sport mirrors

q. can you make f body rally sport mirrors fit an A body? they are chrome and i thought if im going to paint, perhaps they can be cut, repositioned and epoxy, jb weld, fiberglass etc. to the correct angle to mount?? just getting a theory going. Do you know if they are pot metal or not and how is the base fixed to the mirror part? just looking for answers and thoughts? and info? tks Mike:banghead:

for the time and effort you are going to spend with the chance of them not looking as good as one would hope I would continue looking around ebag or here for a set of A body rally mirrors just my .2 cents, but if your strapped for money then give it a whirl and see how it comes out.
