i used to catch those as a kid (not very often mind you)
probably been 20 years since i last seen one

very interesting fish, they start off with one eye on each side, swimming like normal fish
then as they mature one eye migrates, to the other side and the fish basically turns on it side

Flounder,very common fish up here,But just the eyes change position,it always swims on its belly side down. And dam tasty.

thanks, he was only a few inches across!

this fellow a little larger. Both are delicious and I guess all flatfish have the migrating eyes as you mention. -A face only a mother could love but ironically one that launches 1000 ships, (like daily)
