looks like something we might have seen at the Wheels Thru Time Museum in NC.
Back in the 40's, my grandfather used to ice-fish a lot. He'd head out onto Lake St.Clair for the day. He took a long adult snow-sled, and attached a 1-1/2 hp engine to it, along with an axle, belt-drive with tensioner, and a saw blade. He didn't have to lug all his gear out there. I remember him throwing it away in the early-mid 60's.
