But you have to admit, WJ & his team could make "your father's Oldsmobile" fly!i assume that means everything went all chevy/camaro? I stopped watching around the time alderman/wayne county ended.... always hated WJ.. always will hate WJ...... and at the time no one could beat him

Beats the heck outta me. I wasn't a fan of his, but I knew that his Olds was wicked fast.wasn't the big chief a pontiac motor?

Little Lemmie.
$$$$$$$$$$$ to run that whole setup. I'd love to have one of those in Krusty, but I hate working on clutches. A Bruno can be just as big a hassle, trying to get the "perfect" converter.
That's a bucket list transmission for me.
Can they be downshifted or do you have to come to a stop like a lenco? That's a bucket list transmission for me.
Honestly... that almost looks better than a mustang.. the roof proportion is a little off but i like itCouple of these out there.

Mustang roof (IIRC available aftermarket) should be a better fit since cougar and mustang are the same platform.
The corresponding platform to the torino would be the cyclone.

I don't know why, but for some reason it makes me think of a Marlin...Couple of these out there.

That generation of cougar has vestigial fins and looks like a remnant of Elwood Engel styling.
They did a great job differentiating mustang and cougar with those lines. It took a quite a while before I realized they were the same car.
Engel is the guy that brought over the crisp "inside" the body shape lines, that started on the 66/67 B body cars and then went to the 67-76 non Barracuda A boy line, and also pre "fuselage" C body.
If you look at pre 1966 fords, notably 64-ish thunderbirds and falcons...it becomes extremely clear.
I don't know why, but for some reason it makes me think of a Marlin...

I was running the Mile high nationals way back when. At tech Waren's car failed the template and he was in his pit with a Sawzall cutting up his car to make it fit the template.i assume that means everything went all chevy/camaro?
