I wonder if it would hold-up to being tipped on its side as well as the old one my buddy had. We beat the living livin’ snot outta that thing, but it just kept on a-running….

My sisters first car was a pacer, and i and her both owned rebels.. i loved amcs... the straight 6 in the pacer was a great motor... wouldn't die

Everybody who's parents didn't buy them a car, from my area and era....had a Gremlin beater. Our family had at least 5-6. My wife did, to.
When I asked her what kinda car she wanted, after putting up with me and hundreds....she said "Gremlin". So, I found a one owner Phoenix/garaged car.
I painted it and added all the NOS trim that was available back then. [quite a lot] She drove it for 2-3 years, and it's sat in climate controlled storage for at least a dozen years.
We moved it after a decade, last summer. Still sitting in storage...LOL.
