I fully realize this is a matter of taste...

But words fail me!
Ugh... but I guess you gotta give him credit for combining the worst trends of the last twenty years- Dubs, Carolina Squat, (with a rake like that, how do you keep oil in the pan sump?) and I won't even get into the "cowl induction hood on a Mopar" debate...

I wonder if it would hold-up to being tipped on its side as well as the old one my buddy had. We beat the living livin’ snot outta that thing, but it just kept on a-running….
I had one with the 232 six, and had the oil pump go out- on a dare I filled it with enough oil so the engine splash oiled ("Briggs oiling") and ran it another two years like that until some joker T-boned me at an intersection...
Those 232/258s were every bit as indestructible as Chrysler's slants.

Must have been a "brother" to my buddies Gremlin. Pretty much rusted-out, but it had that "hard to kill" 6 in it (I don't recall the CID), so we took it off-roading as much as possible ....and laid it on it's side no less than 6 times that I can recall (God, that was fun!). Unfortunately all of that off-road abuse resulted in the breaking of both shock towers, enough so that one of them was actually physically touching the engine when he was forced to call it quits.

But it still ran!

Could have been!
I really liked that car, surprisingly zippy with a 3 speed floor shift. Made a great winter beater/back and forth to work car- a lot of guys around here had VeeDubs for their winter beaters, but I preferred something with a heater that actually functioned!

Re: "winter beater". Man, that takes me back to the early 80's....

Hell, now that I think about it a little, some of my summer cars were winter beaters!

Maintenance, or repair?
29 year old Ducane. Runs for a week or more then just decides not to light. Electrodes are pretty blown back, so I bought some new ones thinking they'd fit... but no go. I ended up regrinding points on the OE's, grabbing a couple 1/4" spacers from my aircraft hardware shelves and got them back out where they should be. Furnace is running again.. .we'll see how it goes!
